1: NiCu-C22: Nickel-Copper plated polyester ripstop fabric with Schlegel protective top coating.

Clipper Series Gaskets
Press-Fit Attachment Method for EMI Shielding Gaskets

Schlegel Electronics Materials, Inc. (SEM) has a plastic clip option that makes attaching EMI shielding gaskets a snap to install. Perfect for applications (high shear action instance) where pressure-sensitive adhesives are not considered appropriate. Available in D-Shape and C-Fold profiles, these versatile clips secure the highly conductive fabric and resilient foam gaskets to flanges.

An inherently more sturdy product because they are manufactured as one unit, these gaskets are cost-effective replacements for metal clips or fingerstock where high shear forces are a factor. They are easy for operators to apply, ideally suited for sliding applications and have durable retention properties, along with superb EMI shielding capabilities. SEM Clipper Series gaskets are currently available in several sizes of our D-shape and low closing force C-fold profiles.

Wide Release Liner for Gaskets
Schlegel Electronic Materials, Inc. (SEM) Wide Release Liner attachment option, for taped EMI shielding gaskets, reduces assembly time. This oversized release liner makes “pick-n-place” manufacturing processes a reality. Combining the superb conductivity of EMI shielding gaskets and the assembler-friendly feature of a Wide Release Liner, it streamlines the gasket installation process. EMI shielding gaskets can be kiss-cut to as small as 0.118 inches (3mm) with Wide Release Liner.
C-Fold Gaskets With Rivet Attachments
Schlegel Electronic Materials, Inc. (SEM) riveted C-Fold gasket offers an alternative attachment method to pressure-sensitive adhesives.

Developed to meet the specific needs of cabinet manufacturers, the C-Fold gasket design brings together ease-of-assembly and exceptional EMI shielding performance for high shear or high side load conditions, such as cabinet doors or sliding electronic equipment drawers. The unidirectional kerfs included in the rivet design provide easy entry in to the mounting hole as well as superior retention under shear loads.

C-Fold gaskets are also available as UL 94 VO recognized. Standard spacing is 3” (76.2 mm); custom spacing is available.
