Electrical Engineer,

Rochester, NY: Research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.
Design, maintain, implement and improve existing products including LED power supplies and ballasts for commercial purposes.
Conduct Research & Development of LED power supplies with AC & PWM dimming capabilities.
Conduct functional, hi-pot and EMI conducted/radiated testing on products. Support the production line to complete sample pilot run or large quantity build.
Assist with document design verification testing, analyze product failures to root cause, review statistical data to ensure specification compliance and to determine trends in product stability.

Require a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, or foreign equivalent, plus at least 2 year’s work experience as an Electrical Engineer.

Permanent U.S. work authorization required.

Schlegel Electronic Materials (SEM) continues their technological leadership in fabric-over-foam EMI shielding gaskets with the introduction of the DYNASHEAR ™ gasket family for card/cage applications.

New German Distributor
We are pleased to announce a new distributor in Germany, Electrade GmbH. Electrade’s main office is based in Graefelfing, near Munich. There are two additional offices to provide thorough coverage in Germany.
Electrade specializes in providing product development services to the best known high-tech companies across Germany. The principals in the company have a combined 50 years of technical development expertise.

Schlegel Electronic Materials, in collaboration with FMEC laboratory – KUL in Belgium, developed the Stripline testing fixture. The new method and testing configuration provides a means of delivering, in a repeatable way, shielding effectiveness data for small gaskets in the frequency range of 0.1-40 GHz .
This new measuring set-up will be supported in the near future by a new standard from SAE International ( SAE ARP 6248).
This work will complete current standards available to the gaskets manufacturing community, which were previously covering testing up to 18 GHz only. Under specific conditions, the FCC regulation for radiated emission requests the testing of various systems to 40 GHz.
