In early 2005 to better serve our customer bases, Schlegel Systems was split into two companies: Schlegel Systems, Inc. and Schlegel EMI. Later in the year, we changed our name to Schlegel Electronic Materials. The business split allows Schlegel Electronic Materials to concentrate its resources on developing new products and offering additional services to our very demanding customer base. Schlegel Electronic Materials is legally registered as a stand-alone business entity with a separate management structure and Board of Directors.
We have operations in three locations; Rochester NY, Gistel Belgium, and Hong Kong/ Dongguan China. In addition to the Rochester NY facility, we have manufacturing operations in Dongguan China that allow us to better service our Asian and European customers.
Schlegel Electronic Materials is very excited with our recent changes. The new organization allows us to utilize the core competencies and technology of Schlegel, while focusing on the specific needs of the EMI marketplace. Over the coming months, you will notice additional changes to Schlegel Electronic Materials as we re-invent the company. All these changes are focused towards one goal: To provide our customers with the highest quality EMI shielding products.
