Maximum shielding effectiveness for high-performance applications.
Schlegel Electronic Materials (SEM) C12 Nickel/Copper EMI gaskets provide premium shielding for high-range applications in industries including telecommunications, optical systems, mainframes and supercomputers. The performance is tied to the product design, which consists of a layer of copper topped by a layer of nickel, plated to a polyester woven substrate. This exclusive C12 coating adds durability and versatility, providing galvanic compatibility with a wide range of materials.
SEM C12 cladding resists fracturing than many other nickel-plated EMI gaskets providing for reliable, high-frequency shielding performance. In addition, C12 is resistant to high temperatures with low shrinkage, and offers better current-carrying ability for improved ESD and EMP protection. C12 gaskets are most compatible with applications that require shielding effectiveness above 97 dB; in fact, C12 gaskets have been proven to perform as high as 112 dB over a frequency range of 20 MHz to 10Ghz.
